2007/2008 saw the Kent Ladies take the Inter-County League title a feat that retiring President June Chapple was proud to report at the Annual General meeting held at Mote Park on 14 June 2008. |

LADIES INTER-COUNTY
LEAGUE RULES
1(a)
League to consist of six rinks and to be played as a
friendly match. Game to be continuous, i.e. no tea break.
1(b)
Recommended
there should be a travelling reserve whenever possible.
1(c)
If a team arrives with one player short or if someone
falls ill and there is no reserve, the following shall apply:
The rink shall continue to play three
against four players i.e. six bowls v eight bowls. The leads, threes and skips
shall play as usual, but the number two in the rink shall bowl her
bowls consecutively after the leads have played.
Final score to count. No penalty
incurred.
1(d)
If a
county fields less than six rinks then the following shall apply:
The county fielding six rinks shall
receive two points for each rink not played, but shots will not be awarded.
1(e)
If a team defaults by cancelling the match the
opponents shall be awarded nine points and fifteen shots, and the defaulter shall receive nothing.
1(f) If, due
to unforeseen circumstances i.e. bad weather, coach breakdown, etc. a match is
cancelled, the following shall he awarded to each team; eight points and
fifteen shots.

Before the game commences, the
two Presidents cards shall be put together and the remaining home team cards
put face down. The opponent's cards shall be placed randomly on top of the home
team cards. All cards, including the Presidents, shall be included in a random
rink selection.
3.
There
shall be a toss for the jack at the start of the Match otherwise normal rules
shall apply.
4.
Scoring
shall be as follows:
4 points overall win
2 points overall draw
2
points each winning rink 1 point each drawn rink
Total maximum score possible
16 points.
5.
At the end of the game the score sheet MUST be
completed and signed by Presidents or representatives of both teams and sent to the current Administrator.
6.
League
results will be sent to you at the end of December and then the final result.
Recommendation: That
the Match Secretary for each county be asked, where possible, not to arrange an
inter‑county league match three days either side of the Atherly Trophy
Final.
