NEWSLETTER No. 27 October 2011 PRESIDENT`S FORWARD Dear Fellow Bowlers I would like to welcome you to
the start of the indoor bowling season, and hope to meet as many of you as
possible during the year. We start the season with a
full complement of Officers and I know I shall have their full support during
my year as President. I would like to welcome Wendy
Borer from Mote Park to the Committee as Junior Vice President: her knowledge
and experience of bowls will enhance our team. Ladies please support the KCLIBA games, you will find them good fun and a chance to
meet bowlers from all around the County.
Last season Carol Smith, our Fixtures Secretary, had an extremely
difficult time to get teams together and for the first time in many years she
had to drop a rink because we could not find the necessary players. I would like to take this opportunity to
thank all the ladies who stepped in at the last moment to help us out. My thanks also to all the
ladies who supported the KCLIBA games over the
season. My thanks also to Carol, who
beavers away behind the scenes arranging our fixtures and keeping all the
records, which means that the season runs smoothly. I wish you all a good season`s
bowling and the good health to enjoy it. Pat Arnott KLIBA
